Small collections, not single pieces
Laundry bags are the one thing at Mysza that is not one of a kind. They are sewn in small collections, a handful at a time from the same cloth, which means you can take two that match, or buy another later in the same print while any are left. Everything else is unchanged: cut, sewn and finished by hand, by one person at one table. Whenever an item is not unique its listing says so plainly, along with how many are still available.
Cotton, and it goes in the machine
Patchwork pouches need careful hand washing. Laundry bags do not. They are made from cotton and cotton blends, so when the bag itself needs a wash it goes straight into the machine at up to 40 degrees with a normal detergent, tumble dries on low, and takes a medium iron if you want it crisp. Cotton also breathes, which matters more than it sounds: damp towels and gym kit left in a sealed plastic hamper start to smell, while a woven bag lets the air move through.
Built for how laundry actually works
A drawstring closes the top, and a hanging loop lets the bag live on the back of a door or on a hook, off the floor and out of the way. A side opening means you can drop things in without untying anything, so the bag stays shut and tidy between loads. At roughly 57 by 80 centimetres there is room for a full wash, and when it is time to go, the whole bag comes off the hook and travels with you. Measurements are approximate, as every piece is cut by hand.
Handmade in Switzerland
Every bag is made in Lutry, on Lake Geneva, by one person. That is why the collections are small and appear irregularly rather than on a schedule, and it is also why a handmade laundry bag costs more here than one off a supermarket shelf and will outlast several of them.
